Friend and I played 165 moves. Took break for few days and today start up that game and try to reconnect. Gettin 'Incompatible versions' now, and are unable to connect. Niether of us have installed any mods. I did notice a small update happened, maybe today? (German for: 'The host has a different version of the game!' )When I want to see only games of the same version in the multiplayer list, there are no games to see.Even be invited does not help.I have the same game version as the guys I want to join. The latters, numbers etc of the version are the same.This problem existed in version 1.02, too. I reinstalled Stellaris, but it did not help.Please fix it. I want to play Stellaris in Multiplayer. A friend of mine had the same problem twice but we got it solved both times.

I am not sure what the cure was. We had three mods installed.- We closed the game- We restarted Steam- We unsubscribed our mods and immediately resubscribed them- We started the game and left all mods inactive- We started the game and activated mods- I setup our multiplayer game and invited my friend via steamAfter a while trying it worked.

I couldn´t quite narrow it down but I suspect a fresh start of Steam may do the trick.Keep trying and inviting until it works. Perhaps someone can post a definite solution. I can only give You hope. We made it.Good luck.
